Is thirst a positive or negative feedback control system and why?

Negative. When thirst increases, it stimulates you to drink and so thirst then decreases. Thirst decreases itself in this way and so it is a negative feedback system. An example of positive feedback is addiction: you smoke a cigarette, which makes you want to smoke more and so smoking increases itself, whereas thirst does not increase forever because it makes you want to drink something. Is thirst a positive or negative feedback control system and why?
1.positive feedback is like acceleration..if there is an increase the reaction will be an increase like an increase in a certain hormone in ur body increases reabsorption of a certain material

2.negative feedback is opposition a certain increase in the thyroxine levels in the blood will lead to a decrease in th thyroide activity while a decrease in the levels will trigger the tsh so thyroid produce more of the hormone....

so u gotta find out what makes u feel thirsty?? and then concider it and i'll look it up in my physiology book......just to b a ccurateIs thirst a positive or negative feedback control system and why?
positive because its helping you
it is not the matter of indicator, everybody thirst
Thirst is a negative feedback in humans with Diabetes and some other diseases, means the body cannot regulate it's insulin. Thirst is a positive thing when a person is dehydrated, signaling a desperate need to replenish the body fluids so the blood can circulate and the kidneys can be cleansed.
Both, it is positive because it replenishes what is lost in a normaly functioning body, it is negative if some function in the body is abnormal such as one sign of a form of diabetes is excessive thirst.
