It depends on how accurate your model is compared to the actual plant and how accurate the first, second, etc. derivatives of your model are. You would need no feedback at all if your estimator were perfect. Good estimators are on par with feedfoward and cause a response without the lag of measuring, then correcting the response.Question about Estimators in FeedBack Control?
